Nashville portraits that look like what you make.

Circular logo with text reading 'THE PORTRAIT LAB BY DEREY COMAR' around the edge, and the phrase 'THE ART OF YOU IN SIXTY SECONDS' in the center with three dots below.

Musicians, artists, actors, writers, influencers, makers. Your image should carry your work, not fight it. Nashville is a creative town and most portraits here flatten everyone into the same brick wall shot. With a 200+ backdrop LED wall, we build the world your work actually lives in: the mood, the era, the cover, the campaign. Walk in with a vision or dream one up on the spot. Press, promo, album art, your EPK, your portfolio, all covered in one session.

The look should match the work. Here it can.

For musicians and touring artists

Album art. Single covers. Press kits. Tour posters. The photo the venue asks for at eleven at night before a show. Nashville runs on this stuff, and most of it gets shot against whatever wall was closest. Build the cover instead. Neon and haze for the rock record. Warm dust and open sky for the country one. Flat gray and hard light if the whole point is that nothing is decorated. Change the wall between setups and leave with several completely different looks from one visit.

For visual artists, writers, and makers

The about page photo. The gallery bio. The grant application. The back of the book. These images get treated as an afterthought, which is strange, because a curator or an editor sees your face before they see your work. Bring a piece if it belongs in the frame. Bring the tools. The backdrop can echo your palette instead of arguing with it.

For influencers and content creators

A content day here is a different kind of math. Instead of driving to four locations for four looks, you stay in one room and the room changes. Several distinct backgrounds inside one short session means profile photos, thumbnails, and brand assets that do not all look like they were shot in the same corner of the same coffee shop. Bring your outfit changes, because wardrobe is the slow part, never the backdrop. If you need a longer session for a bigger content shoot, email us first and we will work it out.

Anyone who just wants something different

You do not need a creative career to book this. A lot of people come in because every photo of them is a phone at arm’s length and they want one real portrait that looks like somebody meant it. That counts. Pick a backdrop that has nothing to do with your job and everything to do with what you like. Nobody is going to ask you to justify it.

How the session works

The shooting window is sixty seconds. That is not a gimmick, it is the reason this is fast and affordable. The lighting is already built, the wall changes in a keystroke, and you are not paying for two hours of setup you did not ask for. You look at the frames before you leave and keep only the ones you want.

What it costs

The session is free. You walk in, we shoot, and you look at the frames before you leave. Basic is $99 for a single image. Standard is $249 for five. Premium is $499 for everything from the session. No sitting fee, no package to commit to before you have seen a photo. You pay for what you actually want to keep.
