Our founder, Jeremy Cowart, has spent 20 years perfecting our unique process at The Factory in Franklin, TN. During your shoot, we’ll capture you with over 8 dynamic lighting setups—beauty light, dramatic overheads, Rembrandt-style, backlit moods, and more—all at once.
Adding to the magic, Jeremy has designed over 200 backdrops, blending AI and physical art, which sync perfectly with a cutting-edge $100,000 LED wall. To make every portrait truly one of a kind, he incorporates glass, prisms, and foreground elements, ensuring each image is a singular work of art.

About Jeremy
The Portrait Lab was founded by Jeremy Cowart, an artist, photographer and entrepreneur who has spent the last 18 years shooting portraits of the world’s most famous celebrities as well as humanitarian photography projects around the world.
Most recently, in November 2022, Jeremy’s portrait work was featured in a PHILLIPS art auction in London amongst the greatest photographers that have ever lived: Ansel Adams, Annie Leibovitz, Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Diane Arbus, Irving Penn, Chuck Close and more.
During the height of the NFT craze, Jeremy broke barriers with innovative techniques that have never been achieved before. His first “Lightograph” (a term Jeremy coined") is currently listed for sale to this day for a price of $10,000,000.
