Nashville boudoir, done with honor and total privacy.

A circular logo with the text "The Portrait Lab By Derek Comari The Art of You in Sixty Seconds" around the border and a small flower-like symbol at the top.

Boudoir has quietly become one of the fastest growing corners of portrait photography, and it is easy to see why. More and more women are booking these sessions not to perform for anyone, but to mark a moment, reclaim a little confidence, and finally see themselves clearly. We think that is beautiful, and we treat it that way.

This is the kind of portrait that takes the most trust, so the entire experience is built around your comfort and your privacy. A private studio. A relaxed, unhurried pace. Beautiful, intentional light and gentle direction the whole way through, so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands. The result is artful and honoring, a celebration of you and never an exposure of you.

Your comfort sets the terms

You can request a female or male photographer, whichever puts you most at ease. Just ask when you book. Your session stays completely private, and you decide what you keep and what you do not. Always. Nothing is ever shared without your say so, and that includes our own portfolio and social media.

You are covered, however you want to be

Worried about a blemish, a scar, stretch marks, a wrinkle you would rather not think about? Don’t be. We retouch every image with a careful hand, and you set the dial. Barely there, just cleaning up the temporary stuff, or a softer polished finish. Your call, every time. The goal is always you, looking like you on your best day.

A backdrop for every mood

The studio has a 200+ backdrop LED wall, which matters more here than you might expect. Soft window light in a quiet room. Deep shadow and a single hard edge. Warm film tones. Clean and bright. You are not stuck with one set for the whole session, so the images can move from tender to bold without anyone changing rooms. Bring the robe, the jacket, the heirloom jewelry, the boots. Bring as much or as little as you want to be in.

Why women book this

For yourself. For a partner. Before a wedding, after a divorce, at forty, at sixty, after a year of hard work or a year of hard living. Some women book because they finally want a photograph of themselves that is not a phone snapshot from an angle they hate. All of those are good reasons, and nobody here is going to ask you which one is yours.

Sample galleries are available on request. Just ask when you reach out.

How it works

Step one, reach out. Every boudoir session is private and by appointment. Tell us a little about what you have in mind.

Step two, we plan your session. Your photographer, your comfort level, your looks, all settled before you arrive so there are no surprises on the day.

Step three, you choose what you keep. You review your images privately and keep only what you love. Nothing is ever shared without your permission.

What it costs

Boudoir is private and by appointment rather than a walk in session, so we talk pricing when you reach out. You will know the number before you commit to anything, and you still choose which images you keep at the end.
