For the first time ever, Jeremy Cowart is teaching his propiertary methods for portrait photography.
From the creative side to the business side, there is truly nothing else like this system.
“Hey I’m Jeremy Cowart, and I’m thrilled to announce my most radically different and fun photography workshop to date: The Cowart Method. This is more than a workshop—it’s an exploration into completely new realms of portrait photography that I’ve never shared before. If you’re ready to rethink everything you know about shooting portraits, this is the time amd place to do it.
We’ll be diving deep into wild techniques that I’m not aware of anyone else in the world even attempting, like lightographs, lightogifs, lighttoos, timelapse animation, multiple light sequencing, creating AI-generated backdrops and soooo much more. You’ll learn how to shoot with projection, LED walls, and other wild ideas that are helping to reshape the future of portrait photography.
But that’s just the start. We’ll also tackle the business side of things, like mastering the 60-second photoshoot model, streamlining your workflow with Pic-Time and Acuity Scheduling, and I’ll even show you how I edit in Capture One Pro. Plus, we’ll cover things like tethering, the ever-changing social media strategies, and the power of personal projects to hopefully move your work forward.
“I’ve never taught workshops this small. With only a max of 8 people per workshop, I’ll really be able to tailor it to attendees interests and needs.”
Topics could include any of the following:
(It will be tailored once I see who signs up and I learn more about each of you.)
Multi-light Sequencing | 60-Second Business Model | Editing in Capture One Pro | Experimental Light | Acuity Scheduling | Directing Subjects | Tethering | My entire creative/business workflow | My 7-light setup | How I create Lightographs, Lightogifs, Lighttoos | Social Media Strategies | Website Reviews | Live Shooting | Creating AI Backdrops | Working with Projection & LED Wall | File Organization Workflow
“This will be the first time I’ve EVER let anyone else shoot on my LED wall. It’s a state-of-the-art, $100,000 LED wall. You’re going to lose your mind when you see your photos.”
Who?
This workshop is designed for advanced photographers ready to challenge themselves, but beginners with an adventurous spirit are welcome if you just want to see how it’s all done anyway. Bring your camera, your laptop, your SD cards, and get ready to shoot, because we’re all going to be part of this creative experiment.
Where?
The Cowart Method Workshop will be held in my franklin, TN studio, “The Portrait Lab”. This is literally the first time I’ve ever done a workshop here as I just moved in a month ago. It’s as cozy and creative as it gets. You’ll love the vibe.

"It's not often that someone high regarded in an industry pulls back the curtain and shows you everything they know. It's like one-on-one teaching, he is talking to you not at you.” - @ZackMassey
"I appreciate the peaceful way Jeremy speaks, with easy tones, it gives both inspiration and information without a sense of stress or anxiety. That we can create from who we are without feeling like we aren't enough.” - @shaun_s'
“I'm just relieved to finally find a teacher that celebrates experimentation and pushing limits. I have spent so much money on utterly stale, predictable photography classes. Jeremy invites you to simplify and just let go of your preconceived ideas, and most importantly listen to your gut. I can tell already it is the best investment I have ever made in myself and my art.” - @thousand_things
“Jeremy illustrates how being an artist isn't about getting the 'right' shot every time but is about the journey to the 'right' shots.” - @aligarriganDES
“I feel my return on investment was incredible. Jeremy's teaching style is easy going and comfortable.”

"Jeremy is a real artist with a unique vision for what photography can be personally and professionally, which I've discovered can be a tricky balance.”
